David Lawrence, Actor, Voice Talent, Radio Broadcaster, Voice Demo Producer and longtime friend of Inside Mac, joins host Scott Sheppard to share his latest news and anecdotes on what it’s like joining the cast in his recurring role as villain, Eric Doyle,on the popular NBC TV series "Heroes". David, whose background includes many years on air as a radio personality, voice actor, and production expert was even featured as a character on the video game Saint’s Row. David’s diverse background and desire to explore the opportunities of his passion for
theater and acting prompted him to move to Los Angeles a few years ago and pursue his acting full time. He officially announced his intent to retire from radio and podcasting at last year’s New Media Expo.
Since then, David’s unique style and persona comes through in all aspects of his career and with his recent acting success he is positioned to keep his star shining bright. David explains some details of his new role, what it’s been like to work with the team on a series that has global success, and highlights of his upcoming trip to London. He still hosts and produces a regular radio show on LA’s KTRB station, but David explains that his main focus these days is acting. Jeff Swain, Sr. Product Manager, Newell Rubbermaid, joins Inside Mac to share the details about the long awaited launch of CardScan for Mac. The CardScan products have been a leader in business card scanning for many years and until now have never been available natively on the Mac OS platform. Jeff explains that part of the delay porting this system to the Mac was that they wanted to create a truly native Leopard application that would take full advantage of all the features that Mac users know and love. The CardScan for Mac offers the same functionality and features currently available in their Windows version, designed in a completely Mac interface including a coverflow view of scanned business cards and drag and drop contact creation functionality from any application. Our hands-on testing proved it was definately worth the wait and is by far the most accurate business card scanner on the market.
