Chad Sellers, Founder, Useful Fruit Software joins Inside Mac to talk about his unique note-taking utility for Mac OS X, Pear Note 1.0. Founded in January ‘08, Chad explains his background as a "Unix Geek" and code developer who developed Pear Note as his first foray into Mac OS X development. Pear Note records audio and/or video while you take notes, so later you can find what was being said when you typed something. You can play back an entire recording, or jump straight to the point you need. You can add/insert Keynote or Powerpoint slides and create markers to note the change in slide position. This is ideal if you find you usually have gaps in your lecture notes since it actually timestamps each keystroke making it easy to go back and recall the important points.
